| The Colonnades SE5 |

|
The Colonnades is in Wren Road, London SE5. Its past architectural history is a distinguished one. Sir Christopher Wren once lived in "The Old House on the Green" a mansion which occupied this site - hence the name "Wren Road". This was replaced in 1853 by a church, where congregations worshipped regularly until the mid 1960s. The first and most distinctive feature of The Colonnades is the emphasis on space. it begins with the lofty, marble tiled lobby. Visitors are greeted by a four storey atrium, whose full-height glass panels to both the front and rear of the building give it an exceptionally light and airy atmosphere. The feeling of spaciousness is continued through everyone of The Colonnades 30 one-bedroomed apratments. Year: 1994
