Landmark residential development on the edge of the city, Aldgate Triangle is at the centre of an ambitious urban regeneration programme that began with the construction of the Broadgate Centre at Liverpool Street Station; and echoes the expansion of nearby Docklands, now established as London's second City. This renaissance is driven by a consortium of urban regeneration and property specialists. The Masterplan provides for an integrated range of commercial, retail, residential and leisure developments. In 1996 Dutch bank ABN Amro decided to relocate its European headquarters to 250 Bishopsgate, and Spitalfields' first commercial development was underway. As it approached completion, the area continued to attract some of the biggest names in business, property and leisure. Their arrival has inspired landmark residential developments such as Aldgate Triangle - designed for a new generation of City residents. Year: 1999
