| Burrells Wharf |

The Isle of Dogs has played host to many buildings over the last two centuries - but few of real architectural merit. Yet Burrell's Wharf was created as a combination of listed Victorian buildings - restored, with the essential character rigorously maintained - alongside superb modern constructions, designed to offer the very highest standards of comfort and convenience, but in sympathy with the historical architecture of the existing structures. This superb residential riverside conversion/new build scheme was built on the site of the original shipyard that constructed the Great Eastern. Year: 1987
